Inhouse Auctions

Inhouse auctions is a new service offered exclusively by ERAuctions.

 How our new service works:

  1. We come out to your home, list and photograph the items you are thinking of selling. You let us know when you would like the sale of your items finalised.
  2. Your goods are catalogued and published and promoted like any other auction (your name & address remains confidential at all times).
  3. We contact you on the date you specify, with all highest offers.  You decide which prices are acceptable and what you want us to sell.
  4. We collect those items and complete the transaction for you.

The existing system can be inconvenient:

  1. You have to arrange the transportation of all your goods down to our auction complex.
  2. Reserve prices have to be agreed on individual items, where applicable.
  3. Un-sold items then need to be collected or re-offered for sale without reserve.

Some of the benefits to you:

  1. Your goods remain in your possession until you say they are sold.
  2. You can choose what you sell and at what price so there are no unpleasant surprises.
  3. You don’t have to deal with 20 or more different people going through your home, negotiating prices and getting them to pay up.
  4. IT SAVES YOU MONEY!

 How it saves you money:

  1. You only have to pay freight on the items you choose to sell.
  2. The commission rate on goods sold via Inhouse Auctions is 11%.  (The default commission rate for the sale of goods at general auction for a one off consignment ranges between 17.5% and 22%.)
  3. Instead of paying a percentage of your proceeds in an Advertising fee, Promotion is charged at a fixed rate of $22a.
  4. Instead of paying a Valuation Fee (normally at a minimum charge of $110), we charge a $55 listing and photographing fee.b

All quoted prices and percentages include GST

a. The amount spent on adverting is negotiable, and a higher amount will be recommended where more than 100 items are listed for auction.

b. This fee is charged for every 50 items or part there of and not charged at all if you decide to list and photograph the goods yourself.
